The Blue Santa Program started in 1997 with bike patrol coordinator Bobby Taylor. The main purpose of the program is to provide the area’s less fortunate youth a nice present at Christmas time, Through the cooperation of the Alvin’s police department and school district, every eligible child is invited to an annual Christmas party and is presented a bicycle, a helmet and other goodies.
