What started out as a VERY WARMISH day on June 28th in Downtown Chico, Texas, later turned into a Springtime Texas Monsoon that netted over 2” in rainfall in a very short period of time! So much for that! It was Bikes Ahoy around 5:00 PM that afternoon! But the day was filled with fun and lots of Bikes anyway!

On June 28th the UNCHAINED PRISON MINISTRIES motorcycle group put on their Annual Bike Rally on the square in Chico, Texas. This is an “Annual” Bike Rally that is always a Crowd pleaser and local favorite because of the “Hometown” atmosphere and Texas hospitality like none other.

This years Bike Rally was filled with excitement and fun as bikers began to roll in early Saturday morning to enjoy the festivities and bike games. After all, the UNCHAINED BIKE RALLY is a one day event and there was lots of stuff to cram into one day...LOTS!!

It is ALWAYS a fun rally to attend annually and there’s always great food and Texas BBQ on hand as well as “Live” Christian bands, ladies apparel vendors, clothing and T-shirt vendors, and even a REAL LIVE Ferris wheel for the kiddo’s was on hand this year. I really want to tip my hat to my fellow friends from EAGLE’S WINGS BAND for playing their hearts out this year and dealing with the intense Texas heat as their fingers slid in sweat all around their guitar necks.

All of our good friends from the UNCHAINED BIKER CHURCH located on the square in Chico, deserve a BIG HAND for getting things together and making things run so smoothly.

Hats off to Speedy, Doc, Cheryl, Darla, L J, Ponytail, Greggo, Bushman, and the many volunteers to make a go of this run. And if you don’t come for anything next year but the “Weiner-Eat-Off” from the back of a motorcycle, (see pics) you gotta come. Definitely the hit of the day.
